its labeled flywheel hp, but because tcf=1.00, its really measuring axle hp
reportedly, the limited kicked in during the test.. so they think it can do more...

Edmunds has almost preemptively responded to our concerns of bias... so while they were in japan, they found an a gt-r owner who was willing to let them test his car. no chance of manufacturer bias...

They found:
0-60mph in 4.0 sec
1/4mi in 120.6 mph

Then they learned about the launch control. To activate, you switch the transmission and suspension to R mode and turn the traction control off. While holding the brake with your left foot, you then rev the engine up and hold it. (they went to 4500rpm) At that point the computer waits for you to lift off the brake. The instant you lift, it drops the clutch and away you go... you have to do your best to manage wheelspin.

Using launch control, they got:
0-60mph in 3.3 sec
1/4mi in 11.6 sec @ 120.9mph

These are on factory tires, on an airport runway.

They believe they can knock a tick or two off the times because the pavement was poor and they did not have much practice, but because it was an owners personal car they didn't want to keep trying (they did it twice).
