I received the following text message today:
Due to the rough seas VI Sea Trans & the barge bringing the visiting cars have suspended their service this weekend. As a result, the car show has been postponed
I will confirm this by tomorrow and post about it on the main page.

That is what one of the racers told me a couple of days ago after he spoke with Bates but I have not listened to the radio to get the latest scoop. It was going to be on Sunday to not compete with the car show, at least that is what I understood. I will try to find out more.

I was at H&H having new slicks put on and the word was that it is still Sunday at the track starting at 1300. The radio (reggae station, 100) did announce that the car show was postponed until the 19th January but the ads on Isle 95 are still saying Sunday for racing.
Best, D

I think it is points for the series but will be a good time regardless. The shootout will be fun, I am sure it will happen soon, I do not think it is this weekend but if someone else knows differently please chime in. Nothing like going down to the track and making some passes yourself, watching friends and family do the same, hang out, listen to music; live or recorded, and basically be glad to be alive.

I got down to the track on Sunday just before the rain settled in and they canceled (definitely the right choice, rain kept coming). Anyway, the talk was that the plan is to have an event on Christmas day, starting in the afternoon to evening. Supposedly there was to be a meeting at the track yesterday (Tuesday) but between work and being sick I didn't make it. The plan was to finish up the brackets for the points early and then have a 10.0 shootout. Heads up, no handicap, run 9.99 or faster you were out. if you have a 10.0 or close car maybe give it a try.
I have mixed feelings. It is cool that they are trying to get something a little different going, especially in the afternoon and evening when people might want something to go to and be outside. On the other hand, the weekend is way more flexible for most people. I have not spoken with anyone since Tuesday, so do not know the outcome. If anyone knows better please say so.

Well Christmas day I am not to sure about that one. Allot of families have parties and get together on Christmas well into the evening. So they might be pushing the envelope there. Don’t see any thing wrong with this Sunday Dec 23….Monday is a holiday and school is out from Friday….I wish them the best.....:dunno:

That was also my feeling. We are invited to a pig roast at a friend's; we blew off the last one they had to go to the track:rofl: Probably can't get away with it twice. Maybe we'll go early and try some runs as have made a few tweaks, then go and stuff ourselves.
It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Thanks for the confirm Twin City
