Let me be clear: I don't hate BMW. BMW builds some fantastic machines. Honestly, they are some of the most driver oriented cars out there. That's why they have the image they have. And it's not a money thing- Go check out an older 3 series. You don't have to look at a $100k M6 to see what I mean.
Few cars really compete. But all too often people confuse "few" for "no one". Which is obviously wrong. Very, very wrong. But the real problem is the attitude you get. Talk about annoying. Especially when you get it all the way in Japan, of all places.
But getting back to the cars, they do build some great machines, and the M3 CSL is one of them. Basically, it's a M3 lightened up for track duty. The tires don't work in the cold. The trunk is cardboard. The roof is carbon. The transmission is sequential. Yet it's a street car.
So what we have here is a tuning company that thought they could beat the Carrera GT'S fastest time on the Ring (7'28") by modding a CSL. If you're impatient, click forward to read what happened.

Their 532.7rwhp CSL, weighing 3,139lbs was able to achieve a lap of 7:22.8 seconds. It might not be a real street car, but it's impressive nonetheless.
