In this thread I'll post some of the pics I've been taking, to get up to speed with this camera.. I've already taken a couple hundred so far...
Anyway, these shots I thought came out somewhat decently. All were taken this morning (please excuse the dirty car!).
Later on I'll put together some that didn't and the lessons I've learned
some scenery shots to start:

shooting the car with the sun above me and ahead of me (a no-no because it creates really bad lighting conditions)

practicing depth of field (putting one thing in focus and letting everything else go out of focus for effect)

^focus is on the headlight here, focus starts to drop as quick as the badge... and falls off quickly after that. i took this shot by focusing on the badge and it didnt turn out as nice.

^in general i like this shot. the brake components came out pretty well i think, the rotors were well lit- even the braided lines. the car was in focus on one plane and the background was out of focus as i wanted.

^caliper in focus, all else out of focus.

^tire lettering in focus, rest of wheel/brake/etc out of fucus. depth of field in this shot seems really narrow. some parts of the text (near the top) seem to already be losing focus.
any and all feedback appreciated
