YEAH!!! Thats an old pic when I first bought it like 2001...2002???from Jiffy Mart Sam, presently at Tide Village.:rofl: And yes it used to be Canton's.
I converted it to MPI in 2005, it was on the "back burner" for a while...Lost intrest...its an old car...shit just starts falling apart from sitting. No DINERO... So its a process.

I don't mean to diss Warren, but his mistake has put another obsticle in my path, but thats LIFE.:eek:

What part is the mistake? Is it the little mark on the cylinder wall? Did he bore through a thin spot in the wall? If so, I don't see how that could be predicted with out a sonic test? The other mark looks like rust, was the gasket blown? Just curious. Good attitude, you are right, it is just an engine (check out the pics I posted of my #1 exh valve head wedged sideways in the seat:rofl:)

Thanks David, He sleeved this block and didn't machine a step for it. The whole sleeve shifted SOUTH!!!:eek::no: Good thing, it didn't go slide down anymore, cause if the top ring had caught that...or the sleeve hit the CRANK...:eek: Would of had a CATASTROPHE!!! I'm planning to get a clean block from the states...My crank, rod bearings still look new. Everything else, besides one piston looks very good.

Ahh, I senile. In your earlier pic I thought that lip was the edge of the head gasket. That is definitely not good!

Ate these blocks sleeved form the factory or was this a repair? I have no idea if the block is aluminium or iron.

Cast Iron block, it was actually a repair...on the original boring job :rolleyes:, plus we found some cracks in the deck between the head bolt holes and water ports:rolleyes:...so seems like this block was cursed to begin with. SO new block ...properly machined should be good to go.
