Alright, I have heard the rumors before and I have hoped and prayed they would go away. Well* here* it is again..<!--more--> It still seems like people that really want another vehicle are trying to morph the Lexus IS into a coupe. Apparently the logic implies that a coupe is a natural step for Lexus in the battle against the Bimmer and Mercedes Benz.
Nihon Car procured the above scan from the Japanese mag Car-Top. The photochopped image above portrays the desired hardtop convertible version of the IS- aimed at potential BMW and Mercedes refugees. This is just a rumor so I'll stay skeptical until further notice.
