Anyone know the details about the car show and race this weekend? Is saturday racing only for the cars in the show or is it anybody? Is the show at the car race track on Sunday or the horse race track?

Been checking out the weather reports and satellite. It seems conflicting. For the important day, Saturday, the National Weather Service is showing 70% chance of rain saturday and saturday night.:mad: However, the forecast discussion is showing more of that moisture being west, in PR. They also mention a "dry tongue" of air that is sticking up north and should be here by Sunday. It does appear that the prediction is definitely better for the show. It should be reversed as you can have a car show in the rain but it is harder to race. The drops on the paint can even make for cool photos.:rofl:

The radar and infrared satellite is showing a gap in moisture. Of course, the view out the window here at the Blue Mountain weather observatory shows clouds and rain just off the south shore.

Here is the NOAA infrared, you can see the dry tongue mentioned in the NWS discussion. We are 4 hours behind GMT:

The 60' was 1.704.

Best I had ever done before was 1.78, and usually1.8 and change

Last night was the first time I had run it with the front segments of the leaf springs clamped. I also lowered the front end (great thing about torsion bar suspensions, ride height is easy to change) which has helped in the past.

The 1.704 was the run against that fast black Civic from St. Thomas. Unfortunately I had the same falling on its face problem at the end of the run and only pulled off a 8.4.

Must have bogged kinda hard. Full slicks on a FWD car should be pullin good 60s all day!

track conditions was bad i usually do 1.68 to 1.72 with out my wheelie bars
and 1.54 to 1.59 with my bars.when i launch i was bouncing of the limiter the
