ok..well you seem to have made up your mind. but here are my thoughts:
i havent driven it myself but the car seems to do very well.
its very quick in a line, as the other videos and the specs show.
in terms of handling, it seems better than most any other suv. a red one was driving with me on the highway a while back... and i was impressed with its handling..especially for a suv.
practicality wise- its a jeep, so cant go wrong there. only issue might be low profile tires but i dont think that would be a problem unless you go off roading.
the car doesnt have much competition. to get something else that would perform like that you'd have to spend a lot more money. the only direct alternatives i can think of might be the Infiniti FX or BMW X5... but you can't get support on the X5 here. Both are slower than the SRT8.
i think there are srt8 cherokee forums here:
http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/
if you have any questions about bringing in the car i can also help there.. ive done it a couple times and although they like to change the procedure its mostly the same.

but i hair it come super charge too
it may have a supercharger available for it,
but i think stock it comes with a 6.1L V8 putting out 420hp.
i think its the same engine as in the 300c SRT8, Charger SRT8, and Magnum SRT8 :)
here's a review i found:

here's another review, this time comparing against the trailblazer ss...
they liked the trailblazer a little more because it was softer... but it seems that the SRT8 is the better driving machine...so it comes down to what you want from it.

if bmw is your thing, the new 335s are really nice. you can modify them with a chip to get 320hp on the ground.. that's like 380hp at the engine.. only issue is maintenance and support on them out here...

ok cool  yeah if you want a suv... you can check those out... or if you want a car, the bmw is a good way to go too... they're doing 12s with chip only on the 335 coupe... so that may be worth considering vs the 328 hardtop convert
