Slotted below their mid range FX, the new EX rides on the versatile driver's oriented FM platform, as used on the G35 and also on the Z, FX, and M. The EX is powered by the very same VQ35HR engine featured in the G35 Sedan as well, which puts out over 300hp at 7,500rpm. Among the new features to debut include an updated version of Infiniti's lane departure warning system. In this iteration, the car will actually use its brakes to stay in the lane should it detect that the car is drifting out of lane or off the road. Infiniti also introduced a new multi-camera system to aid parking. On its own that's not new but Infiniti took it to the next level by using image processing to combine all camera images to give the driver a bird's eye view while parking.

Both are industry firsts.

Although the some of the interior features such as the ceiling and trim may change, Infiniti says that what you see is what you will get. Looking at their past concepts, they should be believed. With a seductive coupe inspired body, leading edge safety features, and a pricetag just in the $30k range, expect to see many of these on the roads this Winter.
