The ecu came in! After a three month wait. Installed it yesterday turned the car on runs like a champ! Idle is still a little rough and i still have a CEL

Anybody have a OBD1?

I wish I could help with standalone.. I spoke to haltech they told me the ignition setup those 3000gt have haltech doesn't surport that.. There are 2 ways to do it ... F10X haltech fuel only setup.. Or I will have to fabricate ah wheel on the front dampner/pully an run those single trigger setup.. Which summit sells those for $300..... But by the time you buy ah E11 $1,700 W/sensors pack... $300 pully setup kit.. To install an tune.. You looking @ almost $2500 to $3000 easy... Dont think its worth it UNLESS you are serious about racing...

The cheapest way is F10X which would be ah piggyback to his stock ECU setup... fuel only .. But i would have no control over timing which is not good at all... I would beable to retard but his car would be dead until high boost...
Like I said only if your into RACING SERIOUSLY then this would work fine..

Dsm Maf translator's work great. ran low 11's with a good tune. They come with a very short harness. Make sure you lenghten it so you can mount inside the cockpit. The Engine bay heat will terrorize it.

Ohh yeah think I saw you driving on Wednesday in golden rock..well if its OBD I just look up the thread on a site for using a paper clip to cross two wires ..usually on the plug that you would use to plug in the machine itself..in other words do a seld diagnostics...usually blinking light with a pause then more blinks tells you the codes...like morse code then just look it up in a directory and BAM!!! you know whats up...pretty easy actually just have to search for it.

its easy just do a search type in manual OBD I codes for your car and year..check a VR4 forum and ask them where you can or how can you check the codes its pretty easy once you do it and you'll probably be using this method when ever you get a CEL....or pay 80+ bucks to find out what you could know for free lol up too you really. Yeah saw you i was in my Subby.
